The customer wanted two horseshoes from her horses polished, chrome plated and engraved with the horse names.

We are probably one of the few companies in the UK that will mechanically engrave horseshoes due to the nature of this hard material.

For the past eight years this company has provided me with concourse standard electro plating using Chrome, polished and bright nickel, zinc and BZP. It has also vapour blasted and polished castings to the same excellent standards. This work has always been handled most efficiently and on time.

The customer wanted some original finishes for the restoration of a classic Mercedes. We managed to Vapour blast the rocker covers and cooling fan to match the original finish. Together with the replating of all the fuel and lubrication lines and sundry fittings with bright zinc and coloured passivation finish.

We have restored every chrome part on the cars (apart from the bumpers and hubcaps which are stainless steel)

We de-chromed and mirror-polished the ceremonial bayonets for the queens colour squadron. The handles were repainted and safety catches reassembled.

I would like to thank you for the very excellent work that you have recently completed on the ceremonial bayonets for the Queen’s Colour Squadron. The work was completed to a very high standard and we are grateful given the timescales involved.

These were Brass internal door furnature we stripped polished and laquered.

I received the parcel of door handles etc, fitted them all up and they look magnificent.

We Chromed the VW badge for his camper van

I thought you might like to see the badge attached to the vehicle.

The original bumpers for this car were in poor condition for us to get a good result. So the customer supplied a set of bumpers from a different model which we were able to modify to fit the car.

Using these better quality materials we were able to get a good result for him.

We repaired and polished the badly twisted and dented moustache on the front of this 1950s NSU

We restored all the bright work for this Alfa and were adle to adapt modern head lamps to fit this old classic by machining special adaptors to attach the head lamp rims to the headlamps.

I must take this opportunity to thank you for the high quality of craftsmanship and the standard of finish achieved on all the chrome and polished pieces, as you can see from the photographs they certainly make quite an impact on the car!

Also a special thank you for your engineering skills in solving the problem of fitting the Carrello head lamp rims onto Lucas head lamps, and rebuilding the door lock mechanisms, the end results are absolutely perfect.

I first decided to use CED some five years ago when I started the restoration, and I am so pleased that I stayed with that decision, once again thank you so much.

We restored all the bright work for this 1919 projector with original finishes. we were also able to re-manufacture some precision parts for the machine which enabled it to function as new.

I have enclosed a few pictures of my very rare 28mm projector originally manufactured about 1919 and which has now got 21st century performance. You may recall that you did all the nickel plating for me, the polishing of the brass lens mount and re-engineered a couple of damaged parts, a major restoration project.

It has far exceeded even my expectations. A needle sharp super bright picture and beautifully steady image.

It justified all the hard work and hours of restoration.

We restored various Mazak Mascots, one of which had a damaged Antler.

We repaired and polished damaged stainless steel trims from a classic GT6.

I have just received back from you the chrome trims for a GT6 that you rerstored for us.

Both trims look like new, far exceeding our expectations as the damage was quite extensive. A big thank you for a fantastic job and we will recommend you to our customers in the future.

This company specializes in the restoration of Jaguar’s and we recromed a set of Mk2 Bumpers.

Just to let you know that we have unwrapped the chromes that you did for us and that we received a couple of weeks ago. All of us in the workshop were absolutely stunned by the quality of the workmanship and finish.

The blades shipped to you had the usual rust in the usual places, but what we have received back are better than new!

These were parts from a classic that required a Bright Colour Zinc Finish.

Just received the fastners and I can say I am very pleased with the finish and the profeshional service you have provided.

These were parts we restored from a Honda CL90 Motorcycle.

These were badly corroded door handles from his old Ford. We managed to fill some of the larger Pits in the Mazak and get near perfect results.

Arrived back from my holiday to find the door handles had arrived you recently did for me. I am well pleased and wasn’t expecting them to be as near perfect as they are. Thank you so much guys. I will be recommending you on the Ford forums I moderate. Well done and thanks again.

We restored head lamp shells one of which was badly damaged and other internal trim to his 1930’s Austin.

Ben served a four year  apprenticeship  with us and has gone on to work EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Ltd and currently works on Power stations all over Europe.

Hi Ken, How are you and the guys doing? I keep meaning to come down and see how you all are but I end up getting pulled into work. How’s everything going with the engineering and the restoration side of things? Most of the guys I work with at Dungeness talk about a chrome plating/ engineering company in Hythe that can do anything you want, I have great pleasure telling them that’s where I did my apprenticeship. I’m surprised sometimes when I talk to other engineers that have only ever been on a lathe and never touched a tig welder or they don’t no about cnc you must of done something right mate because they think im the man haha.

As promised here is a photo of my TR6 complete with front bumper which you kindly repaired and re-chromed.

We restored many sets of taps and bathroom  fittings from a large Edwardian house this customer was restoring.

I just wanted to thank you guys again for the brilliant job you have done on our heavy old taps. The finish is superb and has amazed all those who have seen them.

We managed to recondition the electromagnetic core on these water saving devices and in the process save this company the cost of replacing with a new unit.

We re-chromed various Ally engine cases for this customer on several bikes over many years. He has always been delited with the results and most importantly the durability, as he is an all weather user.

Firstly I would like to thank you for all the superb chroming work you have done on my bike over the years.

My bike gets used as often as possible, and I get a great deal of pleasure from the way it looks – you are the only plater I have found who can get chrome to ‘stick’ to Aluminum alloy for any given period of time.

We re-chromed a set of bumpers for this customers car and repaired some dents in the process.

I am extremely pleased with the result, bearing in mind what state they were in previously.

We re-chromed a pair of Benelli exhausts for this customer and repaired some dents during the process where they had been dropped at some point in there life.

Received Benelli exhaust today, i am absolutely delighted with them and would not hesitate to use your firm again.

These were stainless steel exhaust pipes from a Ducati motorcycle that had gone blue and brown from heat and dirt. We mirror polished them so they looked just like chrome the customer was pleased as you can read from his letter.

The polishing looks like Chrome and i think the price was fair too. I have already and will continue to recommend your services.

GCSE Student

This was a thank you letter from a student at out local grammar school who we polished and chrome a drum stick holder Free Of Charge as part of his GCSE Technology examine.

I Am very happy with it and i am still not convinced it is the same metal. All my friends and fellow students are amazed that my work looks so good. You have given such a professional finish that I am sure I will get a very high mark.
